SalesOrders: the “Synchronize When Connected “ feature is disabled on Vista platform.



1.       Vista  SP1 x86
2.       VS 2005.
      3.    SQL Server 10.0.1600.22
      4.    SQL Samples 090306

Repro Steps:

  1. Configured the sample as readme said.
  2. Run SalesOrders.exe .
  3. Type the Password as you set, click the OK button.
  4. Click the Synchronize from main menu, check the submenu “Synchronize When  Connected”.


 The “Synchronize When  Connected” feature should be Enabled on Vista .

Actual Result:

The “Synchronize When  Connected” feature is disabled.


Open the SalesOrders.cs, Check the Line 66~69.it just check the Minor value, so that this feature is disabled on Vista.
According to the readme said ,this feature isn’t support only on win2000.

 Modified the code in line 66 of SalesOrders.cs  as that:
     if (Environment.OSVersion.Version.Major <6 && Environment.OSVersion.Version.Minor < 1)
